Apple toffee tart

Monday's are bad enough as it is, but thankfully yesterday wasn't too bad because we had a small family dinner party at my sister's house. It was just a relaxed, nothing too big (although there was plenty of food as we always tend to over cater) get-together.

For the occasion I decided to try something a little different for dessert. With the weather cooling down I wanted to make something comfort related, that would be nice and warm but not your boring everyday heated dessert. That's when I came up with my Apple toffee tart.

Preheat the oven to 180.

Cream the butter and sugar (185ml) together.

Sift the dry ingredients together.

Add the dry ingredients and milk
to the sugar and butter mixture.
Once mixed, gently fold in the apples.

Pour into a greased dish
and bake for +/- 45 minutes.

Melt the cream, sugar (125ml)
and toffees over a low heat.

Remove the tart from the oven.

And immediately pour the toffee mixture over it.
Allow the sauce to absorb into the tart and serve
(might need to be heated a little first).
