This past weekend was another gloomy, overcast and rainy one here in Johannesburg. Now if there is one thing gloomy and overcast days make me want to do, it's nothing but veg on the couch, drink coffee and eat sweet treats (it's a deadly combination I tell you). So when it came to baking for this very active weekend, my first choice was of course something with chocolate (rain = chocolate; right?). I was however craving not your ordinary chocolate treat but a fudge filled one at that. So I decided to make these delicious Choc fudge nut squares.
Preheat oven to 180°.
In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
In another bowl, combine oil, eggs and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredient mixture to the to dry ingredients
and combine it until it's thoroughly mixed.
Spread the mixture into a square or rectangular baking tray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and cut into squares.
The size of the squares is your own choice.
Allow to cool, and serve.
