Jelly tots happiness

This past weekend we had a little family get together at our house, and well yes the usual happened. The men watched Rugby while my sister and I baked; and mom popped in and out of the kitchen to lend a hand or two. It was the makings of a prefect relaxed Saturday morning/afternoon with everyone. This time around my sister and I decided to combine two of our favourite childhood sweet treats; Jelly tots and cookies. We got the original recipe from Katrina's Kitchen

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Cream together the margarine and sugar until fluffy.

Mix in the eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, salt,
baking powder and baking soda.

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

Stir in half of the Jelly tots.

Making small balls out of the mixture.

Line them up on a parchment paper lined baking tray.
Flatten the cookies and top with more Jelly tots.

Bake for about 20 minutes or until they start to turn golden brown.

Allow them to cool and serve.
