It's as easy as that

More often I'm seeing fellow bloggers (new to the blogging scene) ask other bloggers, myself included, how we make our blogs known. So for today's post, I'll be sharing ten ways you can get your own little blog noticed. Now some of them might seem pretty obvious, but believe me they'll make a difference to your readership.

  1. Network, use social media to engage with others.
  2. Comment on other blogs and do so on a regular basis.
  3. Start a Facebook page for your blog and use it to promote what’s happening on your blog.
  4. Don’t be in a rush to become “popular.” You should be blogging because you want to and not for some kind of financial gain.
  5. You don't have to blog every day. Not all of us have that kind of time, but try to post at least 2 - 3 times a week.
  6. Use Facebook for short, catchy posts like quotes and photographs. We are all visual by nature, so interesting images will be really handy and get people's attention.
  7. Find other bloggers in your area and connect with them. Who knows they might inspire a blog post or two.
  8. Always and I mean always take your own photos, and if you can’t, be sure to credit the relevant source.
  9. Reply to every comment on your Blog/Facebook/Instagram.
  10. Meet up with fellow bloggers. It's a brilliant way to do some more networking and bounce ideas off other people, or even to see what they're doing differently to you.

  1. I have been lacking when it comes to blogging lately, and honestly I miss it!

  2. Thanks for the tips! I like the one about how you need to write your blog for yourself - I think its an important one to remember when your starting out as it can get frustrating waiting for followers and readers! Still its a fun ride

  3. Great advice!! Also, it helps if you're not a "no-reply blogger" - it's frustrating when I want to reply to me bloggers comments and the email address is a no-reply.
I'm not promoting my personal blog on FB or social media. But hopefully will promote my food focused blog from August

    1. So glad you all liked the tips and find them useful.

Oh thanks Claudz, that's also an excellent tip to keep in mind. I'm, looking forward to reading that food focused blog.

Johlet, don't worry we all go through stages where we're not too motivated by our blogs. It's part of the creative process I guess.
