Oh what do you know, it's another long weekend. I could get used to these four day and three day weekends. I think they should implement this permanently. Just the other day I read the funniest thing which applies so well to all these long weekends. "I can't handle another long weekend, said no one ever!"
This is it, I'm done! 100 days of happiness all captured through my phone. When I started this challenge I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but in the end it was so much easier and a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be.
Getting to grow up in this beautiful environment.
The memories of my time in Europe with my sister.
Back then she was seriously blonde and my hair was blonde and red!
Spending a beautiful day such as this outside.
Finding this tiny milk jug. I love treasures such as these.
Another wonderful day with loved ones.
Visiting this place and getting to experience it's beauty.
This beautiful rose blossoming in my little garden.
It's Friday and it's a long weekend, could this day be any better? Who doesn't love long weekends, even more so when it's a four day weekend. This weekend is going to be filled with friends, family (new and extended), Easter egg hunts, get togethers and most important of all...relaxation. Along with the excitement of it being a long weekend, I've also been watching a lot of Modern Family episodes (catching up with all the episodes I've missed), it's one of my favourite shows. The writers and actors are just brilliant, they capture each awkward and funny moment so well and it's exactly how it would happen in most households. So today's Friday Funnies is a tribute to this brilliant show.
Seven more days to go and I'm done with the challenge, can you believe it? I know I certainly can't. It's been a wonderful 100 days, and I feel as if I'm come out a better person because of it. Have any of you been doing the #100happydays challenge?
Dinner, wine and good company at a sustainable place.
Beautiful roses for me
Visiting Madame Z.
Eating at the Kong with special friends.

When a storm is brewing.
Often when I mention to people that I have a blog, their first response is “but why?” And well recently I’ve been getting that question a lot. So that got me thinking, “Why do I have a blog, what’s the purpose?” So I sat down and had a look (let’s be honest, it took all of five minutes) and came up with quite a few reasons as to why I blog.
I'm more focused
To blog requires time, devotion, commitment, and discipline. Because of this I’ve become a lot better at managing my time and ensuring I not only work hard but play hard as well.
I inspire others
Yes, can you believe it, little me has inspired someone? I’ve recently been a part of the #100happydays challenge and the response I’m getting from each 100happydays update post has just been amazing. Comments of how I’ve inspired some readers to go out there and look at their lives in a different light. Who knew a challenge as simple as that could inspire?
It’s made me a better writer and communicator
I didn’t plan it, it just kind of happened. I used to be the person who bottled up all her feelings and never spoke her mind, too afraid to hurt others feelings. Now I’ve become a whole lot better at telling (both verbally and in written format) people how I truly feel.
I’m a better thinker
Blogging has forced me to stop, take a breath and think. Not just think about my life, but the life of others. I now sit back and access a situation (sometimes I have a weak moment and don’t think at all) before just jumping in and dealing with the consequences later. I think about each step in my life and how this will benefit the future I am trying to build for myself.
I now live a life of purpose
Before I used to just sit around and wait for things to happen to me, or others to make plans with me. Until I realised that life was passing me by. Also once you start writing about your life, you think more about who you are, and if you like what you see or not. And believe me there have been a few things that I have not liked at all.
I now look for the meaningful things in life
As much as I would like to, I simply can’t blog about every single thing that happens to me. Mainly because we’d be here all day but secondly because I would bore you all to death. So deciding what to share and what to keep private forces you to see what is actually worthwhile.
Meeting new people
Through all the comments, emails, Facebook messages and Tweets, I’ve formed so many meaningful relationships with people and other bloggers. One of the best things about the blogging community is that it’s one of the most friendly, encouraging, and genuinely honest environments you can ever surround yourself with.
It’s a journal.
I’ve never been one to write in a journal and share their daily feelings or experiences, but I write a blog? So when you actually sit down and think about it, my blog is my journal. It’s a digital record of my life. What’s even better is it will never be lost, stolen, or destroyed.
So why do you blog, or if you don’t have a blog why do you read people’s blog?
I'm nearing the end with this challenge. Yip at the end of this post it will be 78 days worth of happiness. But because I'm a week behind, due to the fact that I was away and unable to do a one of my #100happdays update posts, I'm technically on day 85 already!
Reliving childhood memories and going ice skating.
Going out for the night and this guy followed us around.
Backyard parties and then we got a surprise DJ.
Which then of course called for a selfie
Dinners and movies with fond friends.
Sushi with more fond friends.
Going for a run and this was my reward for surviving.
Looking back at an awesome holiday with such fantastic people.
It's my favourite day of the week.....FRIDAY! This week had a bit of a rocky start but mid way through it picked up and became such a fantastic week. Isn't it funny how that happens? The weekend has finally arrived, and I'm so excited because I'll be going for a well deserved and long overdue hot stone massage. Now who doesn't love a pamper session? Well as much as I can ramble on and on, which I'm sure you'd all love (insert sarcastic tone here), we all know why we're here today. It's Friday Funnies time....
It's a duck look at it
Life as it stands right now is pretty damn good. Which is making my #100happydays challenge a complete breeze to be taking part it. What's even more awesome about this challenge is the fact that I've been doing it for 73 days! I almost can't believe it's been that long.
Yet another beautiful day of holiday.
When people from Johannesburg get together
