No more

Day 30 of the blog everyday in May challenge is react to the term letting go. Now when I think of this term I think of all the hurt, pain, fear, regret and insecurities I may have in my life. I think of how silly I am sometimes for holding onto these feelings or for even having these kinds of feelings.

Letting go means not worrying as much and learning to accept certain things, relationships and situations for the way they are. Letting go for me is being even happier (because I already am so happy) with what I have, focusing on the positive things in each day, something I strive to do as much as possible and not getting caught up in other people's negative ways.

Now that being said all of this is obviously a lot easier said than done, but it's something I really want to achieve.

  1. Letting go is never easy, but just keep moving one day at a time and stay focused on improving your own life. Remember that you are choosing to let go to make your own life a positive and empowered one. Great share!

  2. I like that you say it means being happier. It's true. You can only be happy once you've let go of all negativity.

    1. I strive to do it everyday. Sometimes I have a hard time seeing the positive but it happens every now and again I guess.

  4. Even if the positive is just a tiny positive thing, it can make the world of difference on a low day. Trying not to do too much is a big one for me these days - cutting back on trying to fit it all in - letting go of the busyness (wish I'd remember to add that to my post today!). Happy Thursday to you.

    1. Oh I agree. I get so absorbed sometimes in trying to finish everything in one day that I so worked up.

Happy Thursday to you as well :)

  5. Life is just too short to hold on to negativity, yet even knowing that, it can just be hard! Especially with the most inconsequential things for me.

I'm glad you're happy every day. :) That's the best feeling!

    1. It's a decision I made a long time ago and every since then I've found myself to be a lot more positive and I don't get as affected by the little things anymore.

  6. Happiness is the cure to perhaps all ailments. In the journey of letting go, it's kinda like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. High five on your positive outlook! And thank you for stopping by my blog Mel!

  9. Not worrying so much and acceptance are ones I need to work on. You don't even realize all the things you're holding on to when you worry...

    Lovely post :)
